Fred Caruso Joins Goldc57 As Producer

Lots of gold nuggets to report today.  One of Hollywood's most well known and respected Producers, Fred Caruso has joined Gold57, as a Producer.  Definitely a Gold Rush with people joining the project.


Casting News!  Joseph Donofrio, Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale and more  will be joining the cast of Gold57.  He joins Vincent Pastore, Mary Birdsong, Tamela D'Amico, Danny Nucci, Ronnie Marmo, Allen Wasserman, Tony Devon, Michael Townsend and Marcus Flanagan.  Award winning Production Designer, Hilda Stark has also joined the project.

People who have joined the project, Vincent Pastore, Mary Birdsong, Tamela D'Amico, Danny Nucci, Ronnie Marmo, Allen Wasserman, Tony Devon, Michael Townsend.  Fred Caruso has also joined the project as Producer and Hilda Stark, award winning Production Designer.



PLOTLINE:
TOMMY ARMANDO, fifteen-year old, second generation Italian-American, is growing up in postwar prosperity. Tommy's immigrant grandfather told him when he lived in Italy, that they thought the streets were paved with gold. He said he discovered when he got to America, not only were the streets not paved with gold - they weren't paved at all and they expected me to pave them! ALBERT, Tommy's father is a second generation construction worker. He vows to not let this happen to his son.

Tommy, with a dollop of Pomade in his slicked back D.A. hairdo, lives on a steady diet of Rock & Roll, TV, French fries and Coke A Cola. He fantasizes about becoming Carmel Blvd's next big record act. He patterns his look and sound after JIMMY VIBRATO - Carmel Blvd Record's current heartthrob.

With the advent of TV, the music industry has exploded with on-air dance shows. Launching new recording acts is a weekly event. It's the era of rags to riches success stories. It's the American dream at it's zenith.
At a very early age, Tommy's talent shines as a singer and mimic. Like many young talents, his father, Albert, and mother LUCY, have nurtured him in his career, tossing him on stage whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Albert, a disgruntled construction worker, smells a recording contract and would sell his soul to get it. Lucy, cautions him to take things slowly. But Albert has stars in his eyes even though he knows what huge odds he's up against. This doesn't thwart him - he hopes to enjoy the roller coaster of success at any cost!

CHARACTERS: 

TOMMY ARMANDO - teen-aged, super-talent from a working class home who finds the doors of stardom can open and close in the blink of an eye.

ALBERT ARMANDO - Tommy's hot-headed father, will stop at nothing to ensure his son becomes a star.

LUCY ARMANDO - Tommy's loving and pragmatic mother, who acts as a counterbalance to her husband.

JIMMY VIBRATTO - Carmel Blvd's latest teen heartthrob.

ROCCO - Jimmy's, strong-arm manager - a failed recording artist.

IRENE - Tommy's pretty, star-struck girlfriend.

NICK ROMAN - Tommy's dentist and eager smooth-talking business manager.

MEL STEIN - founder of Carmel Blvd. Shrewd, funny and ironic ruled by the love of money and power.

LORI - Mel's sexy assistant, who takes all Mel's grief.

DANNY BRIGATONNI - Larry's slick mafioso business partner.

GEORGIE TREETOP - a flamboyant radio personality ala Little Richard, covers the scene for his radio station WLBK.

LARRY M. STEVENS - polished, handsome and charismatic host of a popular national TV program, featuring teen record acts. He's the brass ring for young talent. Below his glistening smile is a demonic lust for underage girls, booze and power.

CHIEF OF POLICE - a strong-jawed, corrupt, top cop with political aspirations.

It's Gold Baby.... No Turning Back.......

We are official! We always were, but is the accessories as they say, to move your brand along and after all, with social media driving everyone to new heights, we are jumping on the social media bandwagon.  Gold57 is going to be a force, a phenomenon and then some, so stay tuned.  You may love, hate or could care less, but I promise you Gold57 is here to stay and we will be trending worldwide before you can say Gold57.

How many of you really care about the music scene from 1957?  Guess what, these were exciting times and the birth of what we know today driving music.  After all, where would we be without Thomas Edison, Benjamin Franklin, among others.  I feel certain "Ben" would be tweeting away, of course, with wisdom.  Oh, and Thomas Edison would have thousands of "likes" for sure, if not hundreds of thousands for his Facebook page.

It's Getting Crowded!

What is the first thought you have when someone, or for that matter, anyone states, it is getting crowded.  Social Media as we know it today, is crowded, and rightly so as more people are embracing the Cloud.  People everywhere were skeptical about the "Cloud", but now willing at least to take a look, and a wise decision for sure, and then some.  So where does a Rothbard and a Devon fit into the crowd?  No doubt, at the head of the pack, or in other words, about to put together a project in the Cloud; and just might be a first and getting crowded; wall to wall, shoulder to shoulder people?  This image has taken a whole new meaning for Hollywood.

Okay, we can reveal some of the crowd for Gold57 (you heard it here first)!  Vincent Pastore, Mary Birdsong, Tamela D'Amico, Danny Nucci, Allan Wasserman, and Tony Devon the stars of Gold!  Hilda Stark, Emmy Award winning production designer has also joined the project.  You cannot get much better than this ensemble. 


Tony Devon co-wrote the script for Gold and is a follow up to his co-writing "Pizza With Bullets", award winning  project with Vincent Pastore and Talia Shire.

There is still a cloud of secrecy, not ready for public consumption about Robert's latest project, but I promise this, has "legs" and getting ready to run, not walk.  Why walk, when we can run; let's take three steps at a time, or more!
